The conference is supported by a partnership between the ISTC, DCEO and a number of leading organizations in innovation community. The event will feature an opening reception at 1871 and a keynote by J.B. Pritzker. In addition, a number of Illinois representatives will be serving on panels including the Illinois session on the energy ecosystem.

SIU School of Medicine Startup News
The startup company of SIU School of Medicine's Dr. Jeremy Turner, Otoscience Labs, just secured a $1.5 million Department of Defense grant. They also opened up a new facility in Jacksonville, IL this past May. Stay tuned for more news out of this SIU startup!

MDT Licenses SIU Dust Control Technology
Mineral Development Technologies (MDT) recently executed a license agreement for exclusive rights to SIU's patented technology entitled "Water sprays for dust control on mining machines." MDT was established in 2009 by SIU's Dr. Paul Chugh, Harrold Gurley, John Pulliam, and Bill Bell to manufacture and supply dust control and other mine
production-related technologies to underground mining operations in the
